During the exhaust stroke, a good way for an engine to lose power is through back pressure. The exhaust valve opens at the beginning of the exhaust stroke, and then the piston pushes the exhaust gases out of the cylinder. If there is any amount of resistance that the piston has to push against to force the exhaust gases out, power is wasted.

"Vortex Design Concept"
This is intend as a trade-off for header: High-torque vs. high-horsepower (shorter, faster blades). The vortex generation bit is simply an attempt to couple more hot exhaust gas into the blades; this increase the exhaust exit speed, the apparent exhaust travel angle will change and that will increase the efficiency of the design turbine. The circular hole at the center of the brade is where A De Laval Nozzle play a vital part of Gastron over all principle. Finally, the larger diamater of the after tube from the brade section is just taking advantage of the Bernoulli principle to `suck' more air through the turbine.
